ChatGPT Prompts For Recruiters
44% of recruiters aren’t using generative AI frequently.
That’s the results of a poll I ran last week.
If you’re not sure what you can use ChatGPT or other generative AI platforms for here’s some ideas:
PROMPT: “I’m a tech recruiter and I’m recruiting for a Java Developer, here are the key skills for the role: [key skills] Obviously I don’t have the same level of technical knowledge as the candidates I’m screening. Give me 5 questions I can ask Java Developers with these key skills during a phone call to assess their technical suitability and the answers I should be listening out for”
PROMPT: “I’m recruiting for a Data Scientist. I want to write a job advert that will appeal specifically to Data Scientists, can you tell me 1. What’s important to a Data Scientist when choosing a new role and 2. What types of questions can I ask the hiring manager to extract this information?”
PROMPT: “Explain this tech stack like I’m 5 years old/a non-technical person: [tech stack]”
PROMPT: “Give me 5 behavioural interview questions I can use to assess [behaviour] and what good answers look like for each”
PROMPT: “Write me a Boolean search string for this Job Description” (upload JD)
There are loads of other use cases, none of which require integration with any of your systems, don’t involve uploading sensitive data and will save you a load of time.
Will the answers be perfect?
No but in most cases it’ll do 80% of the work for you.
